Jammie Days

Feeling so thankful for my family and the little things in life. Parker has been sick with a fever and aches. So we have been watching a lot of movies and Tv lately. However with the rain there isn't much else to do. I have really enjoyed these lounging pj days, macaroni and cheese for dinner and toys all over the house. I know he hasn't felt good but it has been so nice to slow down and relax in our jams all day.

A day in the life of Parker, Tyler and Mommy

I am realizing how quickly the days are passing and I am becoming more and more forgetful! I am hoping to start jotting down a few moments of our days, just so I can remember in the future.
Today started off sleepy but I got out of bed with Ryan and sent him off to work by my traditional wave and closing the garage door. Of course I ran back to bed and after a few minutes Parker woke up. Hungry as usual. We went downstairs and made cream of wheat, sliced strawberries and blueberries. Also, I was making Parker's lunch (Almond butter/jelly sandwich, strawberries, carrots, wheatthins) for preschool. Tyler came downstairs in his under ware, and was wanting help putting on his shirt and pants because he was cold now. He cried the night before because he kept saying he was hot. Silly guy!!! Anyways, we ate and then went upstairs and the boys got dressed and finished watching Franklin while I got dressed. We were about to leave for preschool and I gave Parker two stamps for his trip to the mail box. Tyler about lost it and cried, and kicked and was so upset he couldn't have stamps too. Luckily he calmed down by the time we got to school and we dropped off Parker in his green t-shirt for school spirit day. Tyler and I headed to MOPS and of course he had a wonderful time in his "class" He colored me a beautiful picture which he is always so proud of and tells me he ate "shish and water" He also played with new orange play-doe. We went to pick up Parker and he had a wonderful day! He got green play-doe from a friend at school. He also didn't eat snack today because it was raisins, and cereal. Not a favorite!!! We came home and fed Ty lunch and then it was nap time for me. I was exhausted and slept while the boys watched Peter Pan. Then we got up, played out back and made pancakes and eggs for dinner. We fed the dogs and Kota attacked Jake over food and hurt his ear. Parker was so sweet and cleaned up all the blood. He is okay and it wasn't as bad as it seemed. Then it was baths, stories, brushing teeth, potty. Turn the fan on and night light with hugs and kisses and "check on me"
Also, today has been the first day of many, many braxton hicks contractions. Also, more pressure and getting a bit uncomfortable. I can tell it is getting closer and we are getting so excited!

It's A Girl-Potty Training-Start Blogging!

Thursday, September 16th was such an amazing day! It started off like any other day and I dropped Parker off at preschool. However, today I was able to volunteer in his class for an hour. What a joy it was! I had so much fun watching him interact with his peers and was actually so surprised at the way he doesn't participate in large group activities. He is so funny about it, he just acts like he is exempt from participating. Little stinker...we will have to work on that. It was a really fun morning though! Later that morning we were just hanging around the house with Tyler. When finally Ty decided to "poooop" in the potty. This was huge!!! It has been such a struggle for him and Ryan and I. I was ready to take him into the doctors because I didn't think it was normal to scream for hours on the potty. Literally it was all afternoon, day after day after day. But, I am so proud of my little man. He did it, and is still so proud of himself after he does it. He runs out of the bathroom as fast as he can, and gets in our faces and yells "pooop" and has been doing it ever since. Even twice in public restrooms.
Then, while the kids were napping I had been on the computer doing some research on how early you can tell the sex of your baby. I am 13-13.5 weeks and it has been driving me crazy! I decided to push my due date forward a few days and tell them I was 14 weeks. Worst case scenario they can't see what it is and we go back next week for free. So I had my appointment at 4:00. It was amazing to see the little baby so snug and cuddly in my belly. The ultrasound tech was wonderful and she was pretty confident in the first 5 minutes what it was. So she asked us "Are you sure you want to know" and of course we said "YES." She typed on the screen "ITS A GIRL" I about lost it! I had tears in my eyes and a smile that reached around the world and I really thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. My heart was pounding. The tech (Kathy) said she was 95% sure but lets try and get that "million dollar shot." I think she ended up getting about 5 of them. We couldn't believe it. On top of that we were able to just relax and watch our baby girl move around for about an hour and a half. Kathy sent us home with almost 40 photos and some 4d pics as well. Its a dream come true! We feel so blessed and still in shock that God has chosen to not only give us two unbelievable little boys but now a girl. I am so thankful for my family!! After the appointment we took the kids to get a smoothie, because honestly I really don't know how the boys sat in that room as long as they did-and were so good and quiet. Tyler had guessed a boy and Parker had guessed a girl....so Parker got to choose their flavor of smoothie that they shared. We then walked around Babies R Us and I didn't even know where to begin. I will have to save shopping for another day...I was in shock! Now it is time to come up with a name!
Lastly, I am going to post this with hopes of continuing my blog and staying somewhat up to date on it.

Firefighters Olympics

This has been a busy week! Since Sunday we have packed up the kids and the truck and went to watch Ryan play several sports in the Olympics. Sunday was the first day and he played on the Dodgeball team...and yes it was very entertaining!! There were six balls with two teams of six, they did pretty good considering being so new to the game and the heat. On Monday he played Over the Line at the beach. It turned out to be a long day but they ended up getting a silver medal. Go CFD! Parker and Tyler had a fantastic time at the beach. They each took about a 2 hour nap and loved playing in the sand, with their ball, firetruck, and bike. It was a simple day and they had a blast. At the end of the day we got to watch several dolphins play in the water. Tuesday and Wednesday (maybe Thursday) is softball and that was fun, they went 0 for 2 but the boys (little boys) had such a good time playing on the playground and eating frozen lemonade. Overall, it has been a very busy week but a lot of fun!

So concerned!!!

Yesterday I was sitting in the rocking chair in Tyler's room. I wasn't in the best of mood and Parker walks in and asks, "Mommy what's wrong"  I told him I was fine.  He then gets real close to my face with his cup in hand and says, "Mommy you want some of my juice, it make you feel better" I told him no thank you and he kept asking me what was wrong.  Then he says, "I sorry you sick Mommy"
He is such a sweetie!  I was amazed that he could read into my emotions that much and he isn't even 3 yet.

Palm Springs

We just got back from our Palm Springs trip with the Corona Fire softball team.  We are exhausted!!  It was about 100 degrees and we all stayed in one hotel room (all 7 of us plus baby Remp, so that makes 8)  We all had fun but it was crazy and chaotic.  The kids didn't take naps and Tyler took a very short nap but they had fun being free and running around.  Yesterday, Leisa and I took the kids swimming. Parker liked it and eventually started jumping into the pool to me.
He even jumped a couple times without holding my hands.  Tyler on the other hand screamed everytime I brought him in the pool.  He just wanted to pick off all of rocks that were on the nearby trash can.  He wanted nothing to do with the water. Today, Parker and Brooke tried sunflower seeds for the first time.  They did pretty good with breaking the shell and eating the seed. That only lasted about 5 minutes and then they started eating the shell and seed all together.  We came home and let the kids play in the sand box and bathed them and put them to bed!!!  It was a busy weekend but overall it was a good trip!!!!

Happy Halloween

Today we woke up and had pumpkin shaped banana pancakes. In the afternoon we went to the firestation and visted Daddy at work since the boys were wearing their costumes. We then came home and went trick or treating with the neighborhood. Parker had a rough time at the first few houses. As soon as they gave him candy he wanted to eat it right there in their driveway. It didn't take him long to get the hang of it!! He was so excited to run up to the door and then he would say while knocking "TIC A TEAT" and then he said "thank you" so quietly. We went around our cul-de-sac and then came back home and passed out candy. Which once again Parker absolutely loved! Oh the look on his face when the doorbell would ring!! He would get this super serious face and would run to the candy bowl and pick out candy to give out. I would open the door and he would just stare at all of the kids as he handed the candy to each child. He was a bit timid but as soon as we would close the door he would laugh and say "silly guy." I then gave the boys an orange bath and called it a night and now they are all tucked in their beds.
